Staithes Festival of Arts and Heritage – 7th-8th September 2019

REPORT AND IMAGES BY JAMES STOKER

A bright but windy day greeted the Coble and Keelboat Society members who visited the Staithes Festival on Saturday.

The festival got underway and numerous artists’ occupied cottages of the town, the wind however prohibited a full set up of the stall on the Saturday. There was plenty of interest in what was displayed however and the day was successful.

As in previous years Staithes fisherman John Cole undertook his fascinating, and at times comedic, demonstration of the building of a lobster pot, in the yard of St. Peter’s.
